"The Poet's Words"

You numb my senses
Free my mind
You take all my words
And find ways to redefine
I melt beneath you
No longer shackled to an ideal
You give freedom
Expresson
And I feel free to express what is
That is in fact real
With myth and mayhem
Our life plays on
Our stage belonging
To no one
I'm unwound
I'm complete
I recognize words
Never before spoken
I feel no weight
I am ageless
We are timeless
The concept of it all
Dissipates
And I allow you to envelop me
My being
My surroundings
My insides
Leaving the outside world
Cowering in the shadows
Of you and me
Our love
Over powering
Defined only by your words
Spoken
Your mouth
My ears
Truth has revealed itself
From one poet
To the next
